This is a continuation of the branch styling work on a collected juniper, preparing it for the Kokufu Exhibition. Following the previous Jin and Shari refinement and initial branch setting, this covers wiring while avoiding old wire marks, how to select branches for exhibition, and creating full, voluminous foliage pads. We explain how to work carefully in May, during the growth period, to prevent branch splitting, using guy wires to lower branches, and how to utilize small shoots with an eye on the tree’s future. All presented in detail from a professional’s technical skill and perspective.
